Perimeter fencing

Putting up the brick walls for the individual perimeter fencing.

Roof all done

Now workers are putting in the windows and tiles.

Only 2 units no roof

The 4 units of semi-dees that are near the guard house and nearer to Jalan Sutera 1 have their roof completed. So now only 2 units left yet to install their roof.

Roof truss

This is the block of 2 units of semi-dees nearest to the shop houses. The roof truss is being installed.

4 still no roof

Only 4 units are left that are not rendered and without roof.

Roof and rendering

Since the final week of July 2010, workers can be seen putting up the roof truss, clay roof tiles and rendering the exterior and interior walls of the houses.

So far 10 houses have roofs on them and have their exterior and interior walls rendered. The remaining 10 houses are still having exposed brick walls with no roof.

All bricks up

Status on 28 June 2010.

The 6 units nearest to the park have their cement rendered and the roof mostly done.

The next 2 units are partly rendered with cement and the roof is mostly done.

The next 6 units have their bricks done. No roof yet.

The 6 units nearest to the shops have their bricks done but no roof.

Today I did not see any activities on site. Since when? I am not sure.

VP for the Semi-Ds was out around the end of Jan 2010.

Phase 6 VP

VP for Phase 6 was out around the mid to end of October 2009.

Semi-D's status

From the look of the semi-detached units, they will be ready for VP very soon.

Some playground equipments for children have been installed in the park.

Delivery of Vacant Possession

Notice of delivery of vacant possession (VP) dated 17th of June 2009 has been sent out to Phase 5 owners. Permanent CF has also been issued. VP is expected to be delivered to Phase 6 owners sometime in September/October 2009.

Looking back, the deliveries of VP for the following Phases were as follows:
Phase 1 - end of 2005,
Phase 2 - beginning of 2006,
Phase 3 - third quarter of 2007
Phase 4 - around Chinese New Year 2009 (26th of January 2009).

"New hope for stalled housing projects

KUALA LUMPUR: A “special purpose vehicle” will be set up to deal with abandoned housing projects. Despite the global economic slowdown, the Housing and Local Government Ministry hopes to build at least 80,000 new houses this year.

“Some 140 types of businesses like manufacturing, building materials, architects and financial institutions rely heavily on the housing industry.

“It is up to the ministry to ensure the industry stays vibrant throughout the year,” Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan said after handing over keys to housebuyers of a revived housing project in Bukit Jalil.

“The special purpose organisation will have legal expertise, as well as expertise in technical issues, land management and other aspects of reviving abandoned projects,” Ong added.

It will also have financial facilities, like being able to provide soft loans, when developers run into trouble, he said.

The housebuyers of the Jalil Sutera project, who received their keys yesterday, had worked with the developer for three years to get it completed.

Insurance agent Goh Eng Choo said when she found out that the project had been abandoned in 2005, she and other buyers set up a committee to protect their purchases.

“I’m happy our team’s hard work has paid off,” she said.

There are 193 houses in the project, and the remaining 62 housebuyers have been promised their homes by August.

Ong said out of 270 abandoned projects, 126 have been revived by the original or other developers, and 115 have the potential to be revived.
